As part of its programme to help developing and friendly countries, the Government of India has increased the scholarship slots to 30 under its technical and economic cooperation ITEC programme to New Libya for the year 2013-14 to impart training to the Libyan professionals.
H. E. Shri E. Ahamed, Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs of India, paid an official visit to Tripoli from April 14-16, 2013, at the invitation of Foreign Minister of Libya. The visit has taken place in the backdrop of new democratic Libya and was the first high level visit after the visit of External Affairs Minister to Libya in 2007.
Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs Shri E. Ahamed will be visiting Libya from April 14-16, 2013. During the visit, the Minister is scheduled to meet his Libyan counterpart and other high dignitaries.
H.E. Mrs. Preneet Kaur, Hon’ble Minister of State for External Affairs of India paid an official visit to Malta from April 7-10, 2013 at the invitation of Foreign Minister of Malta. During the visit, the Hon’ble Minister held bilateral discussions with the Foreign Minister of Malta, H.E. Dr. George Vella.
On April 2, 2013 His Excellency Mr Anil Trigunayat, Ambassador of India called on His Excellency Dr. Awad Al-Bor’asi, Hon’ble Deputy Prime Minister of the State of Libya to discuss cooperation in the area of capacity building and power sector.
